If you are seeing cracks in the sheetrock, sticking or swinging doors, uneven sloping floors, and cracks in the floor or tile, these are symptoms of possible foundation movement. 

On the outside of your home symptoms of foundation movement are cracks in the brick and in the foundation, window and door gaps, fascia boards pulling away.  The same movement is true of the garage area. 

Some causes of foundation movement are; the intense heat we experience in Texas contributes to the expansion and tightening of the soils, plumbing leaks, and improper drainage (excess moisture will erode or fuse soils causing settlement). Tree roots may dehydrate the soil beneath the home, thus causing the soil to contract and this creates settlement.
